It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our colleague, Chiyu Abo, who had been receiving medical treatment for some time and passed away on November 5, 2025, at the age of 64.
Since his admission to the bar in 1986, Mr. Abo dedicated himself to the legal profession, handling a wide range of matters in the fields of finance, insolvency, and international transactions. He also played an instrumental role in the establishment of our Tokyo office and made invaluable contributions to the development and growth of our firm.
We extend our sincere appreciation for the friendship and support accorded to him during his lifetime and respectfully inform you of his passing.
In accordance with the wishes of his family, a private funeral service was held with close relatives in attendance.
We offer our deepest condolences and pray for the peaceful repose of his soul.
